Every style starts with a fabric that has to pass one test. Fabrics are chosen for how they feel, move, and last. From breathable cotton to soft linen blends, each material is selected for comfort, elegance, and everyday wear in Sri Lanka’s warm climate.
Washed cotton
Softened before it is cut, so it arrives already broken in. Holds pleats and pintucks well. Used across the Beth, Betsy, Tatiyana, Amara and Ramona styles.
Linen and soft cotton blend
Linen gives the dry handle and the drape, cotton keeps the creasing sensible. This is what the Emy pant, Alice top and Ally top are cut in.
Soft cotton and muslin
Lighter and more open, for relaxed pants and everyday tops. Very breathable, slightly more delicate in the wash.
Rayon blends
Used where we want a fluid drape that cotton cannot give, mainly printed sets and occasion dresses. Smooth, cool against the skin, easy to press.
Silk
Used where we want a soft sheen and a light, fluid drape, mainly for occasion pieces. Breathable and cool against the skin, and naturally lustrous. It needs the gentlest wash of all our fabrics.
Handwork
Pintucks, crochet and smocking
Pintucks are stitched row by row before the panel is cut to shape. Crochet trims are dyed to match the body so the pattern reads as texture. Smocking gives a waist its stretch without elastic showing. All of it is done in house, which is why a plain colour still has something to look at.
